ParlText grows by collaboration. If you've assembled parliamentary speeches, bills, or laws — for a country, a chamber, or a specific period — we'd be delighted to integrate them under the project's shared coding standards and bring them to a wider audience.
How contributions work
Contributors provide data which we integrate using the project's shared coding standards (ParlLawSpeech-compatible). The arrangement grants ParlText a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, adapt, and publish your data. You retain full intellectual property ownership over your contribution. ParlText may modify contributions for consistency with the rest of the database.
Access & licensing
All released versions are distributed under Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal (public-domain dedication) via the ParlText collection on Harvard Dataverse, ensuring open access for research, teaching, and journalism. Once published, releases remain permanently accessible.
Attribution & authorship
Contributors receive recognition as team members on this site. Those whose data appears in a published edition become co-authors on scholarly publications documenting the database.
Withdrawal
Contributors may withdraw their data at any time, effective in the next dataset version. Attribution is maintained while contributions remain in active editions of the dataset.
